Chili
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey (or beef)
- 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 white onion, chopped
- 1 zucchini, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can of roasted tomatoes
- 1 can of tomato sauce
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 TBSP garlic powder
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- 1 TBSP smoked paprika
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
salt and pepper, season to taste
Directions
Add olive oil to your pan over medium/high heat. Sauté garlic for 1 minute. Cook the ground turkey (or other ground meat) until brown.
- Sauté the onions and peppers until they become softer.
- Drain the fat from the cooked turkey meat and combine with the sautéed onions and peppers in a 5 quart pot.
- Add the remaining ingredients, stir, cover and simmer for 30-60 minutes.
- Stir periodically while it is simmering
